Hammerfall - Hints 4

Published by bozoplay at 10:37 am under BusinessStuff, GameStuff Edit This

Druids, errrr!!! Sometimes things in this game will drive you crazy (right JB?), so this hint is not so subtle. The designers of games sometimes go to far in the name of making the game challenging, in my opinion. These were more frustrating than challenging. Keep a pen and paper handy and stock up on food and energy drinks. (check out the attached link if you thought, like me,  that Red Bull only had a few competitors.)

Druids are always stealing your Red Bull, so don’t use it up too quickly.
Druid 1 - twice in one direction, then the other, and then the other, and again the other, and the other 3 more times. (8 times? Is that really necessary. The designers have forgotten the concept of permutations. Even the hints were painful. That’s what worked for me. I hope it doesn’t change from player to player, otherwise I just frustrated you even more.)
Druid 2 - more than 10 worked for me and don’t waste your time unless you are at least 10fold strong. (Why does it have to be 15 Hammerfall? You just frustrate the player which is bad for business. Don’t make the game easy, but don’t make it tedious either.)

If you are having trouble fighting demons and monsters in this game, here is what I try to do to battle even the strongest ones. It worked for me.

  • Stock up on plenty of food and Red Bull drinks.
  • Make yourself look larger first to the stronger monsters.
  • Pay attention to your health and don’ let it fall too low or else you are forced to start all over in another place.
  • Use your strongest, most predictable method of offence. Don’t waste your time with high risk/high reward methods. Try not to waste your hard earned gold. It’s better used if you shop later for more toys.
  • If you have more energy use spells.
  • If you have more health then attack.
  • Be patient. They can’t fight forever. Then you can attack at will as long as you have the health and energy for it.
  • Heal yourself just before you finish off the monster.

It’s always a good idea (as I found out) to be patient and not sell off the drops you find. You never know where they might be needed somewhere else in the game.

Always pay special attention to your health and energy. There is nothing more useless then going into a “gunfight” armed with just a knife. More ammunition than necessary only means that you won’t have to stock up as much for the next fight. The monsters seem to have more friends, the more you play this game.

Overall, the game is very interesting to me. It is the best of them all, in my opinion. Games are supposed to be fun to play and designers need to remember that if they want us to continue. And that is true for all the games on Facebook, not just this one. It seems to me that some are forgetting this and are listening to their bean counters too much. Don’t let them have the ball. They will never give it back and they don’t know how to throw it properly. The bench is the best place for them if you want to win the game.
