Hammerfall - Hints 3

Published by bozoplay under GameStuff Edit This

In all the Facebook games there is a way to buy points to get additional items or speed upgrades. There’s also the promotions program that you can make your own decisions on. I don’t usually take part in these because I feel it’s a cash grab used to trick the incredibly impatient player into giving up money for the game developer’s personal Ferrari fund.

It felt different here. Next to the phrase The Sage, in the Sage menu, was this short phrase (honor points support the game’s server costs). I think they do subtle very well in this game. One of the designer’s was nice enough to share the thought that Ferraris are a long way off. The numbers need to grow. And so does their funding if it is to continue.

I used to pay $40-$50 for a quality store bought game. This is a quality game. No, a high quality game. And you get to load it for free. So I got to thinking. I’m always waiting to get more stamina points because I can’t wait to see what’s behind door number 3. So I clicked on the subtle PayPal button and bought the minimum. I’m not going to be visiting the Ferrari dealership real soon either but this is in the category of personal essentials. OK, you have to give them a few minutes for the transaction to got through, so go make a sandwich or something JB.

I’m thinking this might be a monthly thing as a minimum. Maybe do it on the 1st of the month as a gift to me, because I’m worth it. And I get to help the game continue to grow. And they provide the Sage in the game with some treats that I think I need to see. If they aren’t of value, then I won’t do that again. I’m thinking they will have value. The designers know they don’t win anything if they trick you into a bad deal. Bus tickets aren’t free you know.

The PayPal button, in this case, is like having a cup of coffee with a friend. You both fight over who’s going to pay for it because the time spent together is waaaaay more valuable than the little dent it puts in your pocket book. So treat yourself to a cup of coffee with a friend. Ten cups on your birthday. Especially important for the members of BozosBrigade and even more important for that little tenacious pit bull scurrying around Hammerfall. We are never going to catch up with you JB.

And if you don’t already have PayPal consider doing so. It is a very good way to handle money in the Internet. eBay has pretty much adopted it as it’s primary method above credit cards. Just google paypal.com and follow the instructions.

A hint that worked for me today.

Sit in the dock of the bay and then you go to town and talk to her. Might have to try more than once to get the correct number.

I don’t know about you, but this keeps playing in my head as I move about the game.
