What Makes A Good Sports Announcer
The Good Sports Announcer
It was Sunday and there is the usual vast selection of sports available. How do you choose which one to watch. Part of my selection process falls back on the announcers performance. I like a balanced approach—not too loud, passionate, not overdone, knowledgeable, informative. I know I don’t like the loud and over excited types like you hear in soccer and darts.
As is my style, I like to provide examples of what I see as quality people in there specific field. I don’t know if there are awards for the best of all time but here are some of my choices. The names will probably make it easier for you to relate. The categories and my nominations follow.
